crime, violence and conflict; education; environment and energy; finance; gender; health; labor markets; and political economy and governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Policy Insights library contains a unique range of detail to help governments and other shape policy and practice around evidence-based research. &nbsp;Some of its latest topics include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.povertyactionlab.org\/policy-insight\/credits-limited-impact-smallholder-farmer-profitability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Credit\u2019s limited impact on smallholder farmer profitability<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.povertyactionlab.org\/policy-insight\/reducing-energy-and-water-use-through-information-and-social-comparisons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reducing energy and water use through information and social comparisons<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.povertyactionlab.org\/policy-insight\/increasing-college-access-making-application-process-easier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Increasing college access by making the application process easier<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each Insight is compiled by extensive searches for published and working papers around the world using Google Scholar, peer-reviewed journal portals, online evaluation databases, and existing literature reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are drawn together by J-PAL\u2019s Sector Chairs and staff.&nbsp;
