The initiative \u2013 one of the largest SAP projects ever to be undertaken in the automotive distribution sector \u2013 outcompeted entries from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to become the first Saudi Arabian company to win the Gold Award in this category.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/SzZVER4Grq4<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>Implemented in partnership with SAP specialists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britehouse.co.za\/\">Britehouse<\/a>, the project saw Abdul Latif Jameel Motors introduce a new unified IT infrastructure to replace over 30 legacy systems in five subsidiaries, leading to strategically integrated operations and management processes across more than 100 sites in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hassanjameel.com\/\">Hassan Jameel<\/a>, Deputy President and Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe are constantly striving to improve the business, and JSAP was a centerpiece of these efforts. It was an ambitious and challenging project and a real test of our ability to implement a complex and transformative initiative \u2013 a test we have passed with flying colors. The award is a recognition of the tremendous effort, commitment and perseverance of all involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are already noticing a significant impact on our performance, management and efficiency and I\u2019m sure we will continue to reap the benefits long into the future. At a time when Saudi Arabia is seeking to realize the potential of digital transformation through Vision 2030, we are very proud as a Saudi Arabian company to win such a prestigious international industry award.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 300 staff were involved in the flagship initiative, which took over 1.5 million working hours to complete over 22 months. Since its launch in mid-2018, the new system has significantly improved performance and efficiency, and internal processes, including but not limited to reducing vehicle sales delivery lead times and customer order conversion times by over 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel of judges, made up of international industry experts, commended Abdul Latif Jameel Motors for its management of the change process and the strong team and corporate culture developed around JSAP, which they said had helped overcome the many challenges of the complex project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Started in 2010, the SAP Quality Awards celebrate and recognize projects for exceptionally high-quality implementation, including effective planning, execution and management of the process, to achieve rapid, low-cost business process integration and deliver tangible benefits to organizations.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21176 size-full\"
