Carlos Cos\u00edn is the Chief Executive Officer of\u00a0Almar Water Solutions<\/a>, part of\u00a0Jameel Environmental Services<\/a>,\u00a0Abdul Latif Jameel,<\/a>\u00a0a collective of independent international, family-owned and diversified businesses, founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.<\/p>\n

Carlos leads the operations and development of Almar Water Solutions to drive its success and growth in the sector.<\/p>\n

Mr. Cos\u00edn has 30 years of experience in the water industry, including the development of desalination, wastewater, and reuse projects around the world for both municipal and industrial sectors. \u00a0During this time, he closed agreements under both EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) and BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) models.<\/p>\n

Mr. Cos\u00edn graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Madrid Polytechnic University. \u00a0In addition to his prominent role as CEO of Almar Water Solutions, Carlos served as President of the International Desalination Association (IDA<\/a>) 2019 to 2022. He continues to serve the newly renamed association, International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA), as First Vice President and a Board Member.<\/p>\n
